Holly Bluff Resort Marina Celebrates Return to Family Ownership with Ribbon Cutting and Unveils Their First Fully Renovated Houseboat

SEPTEMBER 24, 2025 DELAND, FL — Holly Bluff Resort Marina, a beloved landmark on the St. Johns River, is officially back under family ownership. This marks the third generation of families to operate the local gem, first established in 1972. To celebrate, Holly Bluff will host a ribbon-cutting and houseboat unveiling on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 12:00 PM, in partnership with the DeLand & Greater West Volusia Chamber of Commerce.

For more than 30 years, houseboat rentals from Holly Bluff have been a gateway to exploring Florida’s beautiful St. Johns River. Guests receive a Captain’s lesson and full orientation before they set sail — or they can simply relax dockside. With a 50-mile cruising range, families can visit numerous iconic destinations in Central Florida. A new interactive map is now available at hollybluff.com to help guests plan ahead for their one-of-a-kind houseboat vacation or a pontoon day trip.

Now, under the leadership of Florida natives and lifelong boaters, Tim and Kassie Miller, the marina is embarking on an exciting new chapter. Tim explains, “As we upgrade our facilities and fleet, we’re incredibly proud to carry on what the Armstrongs built, while embracing new opportunities for visitors and locals to enjoy,” said Tim.
